下仁田の英語クラブの方々と、軽く新年会的なお食事をしてまいりました。 西牧に新しくできたカフェ 風へ、いざ (^^)
I went to a cafe Flossie & Fern in Saimoku near Shimonita for the happy new year party-ish.
ヨークシャー出身のダレンさんがオーナーシェフです。
The owner chef is Darren from Yorkshire.
私が住むところからバスを乗り継いで1時間弱。 昭和初期くらいの民家をリノベーションしたカフェです。
It takes about 1h. from my place to the cafe by 2 buses.
The building is about 7-80 years old, around the beginning of Showa pre. ?
He renovated it beautiflly.
”４毒” 小麦粉、油、砂糖、お肉を摂取しないダイエット。
"have you ever heard 4 poisons" ? Flour,Oil,Sugar,meat, One of diets.
こちらは、そんな感じのカフェです。 乾杯のドリンクもリンゴの炭酸、ノンアルコールです。
The dishes are similar to that. The drink for cheers is a soda, non-alcohol.
もちろん私はこの後、白ワインをいただきます。 長野県産のものがおいしかったです。
Off course, I'll drink a glass of white wine too. I prefer the Nagano's last one.
昔に出版した拙著のイギリス滞在記にヨークシャーを載せたことを思い出し、オーナーへプレゼントしました。
気が付くと素敵にディスプレイして下さっていました！
I just remembered that I'd written about Yorkshire in my travel journal so I gave it to him.
Then, He decorted it !

と,見れば隣のテーブルに蝋梅が生けられていました。 うちの庭のはどうかな？

この時期の庭って、クリスマスローズもまだだし、侘び寂びの世界ですね～

Christmas roses are also not yet. The Winter garden is Wabi Sabi;
A sense of beauty found in imperfection and transience.
そうそう、パーゴラを新しくして屋根を葺きました。
建てて26年もすると、あちこち手直しをしないと・・・。
By the way, a pergola in my place became new with a roof.
After 26 years past, everything get old so needs fixing.
